We can try to boil everything down to GPA and LSAT, but each applicant’s circumstances are different. Apply to schools you could actually see yourself attending–your applications will be a lot more compelling, which is especially important if you are a splitter like me. Instead of blanketing the T14, target schools…

Admitted to University of Colorado—Boulder-Unless you had extensive and impressive internships, volunteer hours, leadership roles etc. in your undergraduate, I am of the opinion that you must get some full-time work experience before applying. -In terms of admissions outcomes, I do not think there is much of a difference submitting in early September vs…
I started this page to keep family and friends updated on the admissions process, but am keeping public incase it might provide any helpful info to others!
Hello! This will be a report of my decisions/recap of my cycle so far. It will be updated as decisions come in. Below my recount of decisions, you can find my wisdom for any potential future applicants looking at my profile. University of Houston - Result: Acceptance. January 15, 2026 My first decision of the cycle…
Once you’ve submitted applications, GO TOUCH GRASS. There’s nothing that refreshing your status checkers every 30 minutes will do for you — just go do something you enjoy! And yes, I’m waiting on my cooldown right now
Write your “Why X” essays. Make them non-generic. I think it really screwed me that I didn’t do this–going off of Dean Z’s advice not to do it unless it was super compelling. ESPECIALLY do it if you’re not from the area. Expect your statistically likely results. It’s easy to fall into the mental trap of thinking…
I’ve enjoyed seeing what other people have written here when they do write something so I figured I’d give my advice (LSAT/apps/essays) to the wind for anyone willing to read it: LSAT My diagnostic was 152, ended up with a 166 after studying for like a month lol. You can get a lot out of free content if you don’t…
I applied to a BROAD range of schools as you can see. Some schools are super reach and some schools are more so targets/safeties. I hope that my cycle can provide some insight for those who have my similar stats. As far as Fee Waivers, all of my FW were unsolicited except for Harvard, USCarolina, and OU which I…
I struggled with LSAT anxiety for 4+ years. It just felt like such a big determinant of my entire future. I didn’t get the score I wanted, but I showed strong interest in my #1 school, and it worked out the way it was supposed to. I spent over a year writing and rewriting my PS. Whenever inspiration hit me, I would…
If you see this, follow my socials LOLLL https://www.instagram.com/zoes__law/ https://www.tiktok.com/@zoes_law https://zoeslaw0.substack.com/ This is going to be long, and sort of sappy, but I’ve worked with some of the top corporate lawyers in their field, public interest lawyers, judges, and justices. The one…
Hello! I’m equally stunned and honored that you’re looking at my profile. Things I wish I did: **Market myself better in my personal statement. **- I’ve been writing cover letters for years and somehow managed to forget that the whole point of a statement is how well you can sell yourself. I went for the “every last…
Zzeengo left minor wisdom for posterity (◕_◕). Start your apps early to give yourself time for mishaps and a better shot at getting acceptances/scholarships. For most people, you’re going to underestimate the time it takes to put everything together.- Write your essay about what you are passionate about. Seriously-…
Formulate your narrative. Know your narrative. A great story trumps good scores. Shoot your shot. You have nothing to lose. Don’t let your scores determine where you apply. When you can’t win by being better, win by being different. Stop asking other people where YOU should apply.
Go with the choice that make the most financial sense. Less debt can mean more opportunities :)
Believe in yourself, no matter what. I put off even taking a diagnostic test for two years because I didn’t think I was smart enough for law school. You can do whatever you put your mind to, if you’re willing to put in the work.
