There are two main types of representatives:

Legal Representative: This is someone who is authorized to act on behalf of another person or entity in legal matters. For example, an attorney represents their client in court. Another example is an estate executor who manages and distributes a deceased person's assets according to their will.

For instance, a lawyer who represents a client in a lawsuit is a legal representative. Similarly, a member of Congress who represents their constituents in the House of Representatives is a political representative.
