“The mighty in their pride walk alone to destruction.” - Calvin Coolidge “Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not: nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not: the world is full of educated…

LSAT 165 GPA 3.84 2023–24 cycle

Attending University of California—Irvine

I don’t think I count as a URM under LSAC’s definition but I can’t figure out how to fix it lol. I ran into some speed-bumps during my application cycle and was scared about how things would turn out, but I think things are going pretty good so far! If you also run into some weird circumstances during your process,…

LSAT 163 GPA 3.71 2022–23 cycle

Attending University of Maryland

Shoot your shot and trust your gut :) Write and rewrite your personal statement, and get several sets of eyes on it. Stay off of reddit, it is far more harmful than helpful. Try not to compare your journey to others. “Navigating Law School Admissions” Podcast was a huge help for me. Take care of yourself! Good Luck :)

LSAT 173 GPA 3.85 2025–26 cycle

Admitted to University of Texas at Austin

Tour the schools in your area and attend virtual information sessions / law conferences to meet the others you are interested in. Schools totally care about this as a measure of differentiating between qualified candidates.

LSAT 160 GPA 3.19 2023–24 cycle

Admitted to Baylor University

Using a quote from an inspiring movie to sum up my application process: “Reach for the skyy” *Woody *(Toy Story) Majority of schools I applied to were T50. Figured it couldn’t hurt to try- all i need is one. I applied to the T14 schools after I was done with my initial applications because again, why not? Glad I did.

LSAT 163 GPA 3.92 2025–26 cycle

Attending University of Oregon

“Life is for the bold, to seize the opportunity when it comes, not those poor intrepid souls that stay close to shore. But it is the person that goes out in the storm that reap the high rewards”. -Ferdinand Magellan

LSAT 169 GPA 3.63 2023–24 cycle

Attending University of Notre Dame

My cycle had a lot of twists and turns, it was really only at the last moment that my decision was made. Sometimes it might not be clear where you are going to end up, so if you have some setbacks don’t think it’s the end of the road yet! You might just need to wait until you get the answer you want.

LSAT 162 2020–21 cycle

Admitted to University of San Diego

Do not do well with standardized tests. Took LSAT three times and got 159, 153, and 162 on the final try. Not the best score but I gave it my all and got a tutor for the final month before my final try. Planning on JAG in the Marine Corps so not stressing too much about the ranking of the school.

LSAT 168 GPA 3.20 2024–25 cycle

Admitted to University of California—Davis

You can do this! Don’t let anyone tell you can’t! I applied to UNLV, Santa Clara, USF, and McGeorge with my original LSAT score which was a 163. Then later I scored a 168 in January and asked the rest of the schools to un-hold my application and review it with my most recent score.

LSAT 163 GPA 2.93 2021–22 cycle

Admitted to Baylor University

Apply early, ideally before Thanksgiving. Make sure your essays are *excellent *and write any optional essays offered. I put a lot of work into my essays and I think ultimately they helped a lot to compensate for my < 3.0 GPA and made me competitive for scholarships.

LSAT 171 GPA 3.10 2024–25 cycle

Attending University of Minnesota

No LSAT plateau is permanent Apply earlier than I did Ask for fee waivers Talk to lawyers. Find out what they do and whether they like it Recommended resources: LSAT Demon, Thinking LSAT, Michigan’s A2Z, Harvard and Yale’s Navigating Law School Admissions

LSAT 160 GPA 3.84 2024–25 cycle

Attending University of San Diego

Got my CAS GPA from a 3.71 to a 3.84 in a year (reapplicant). If you are still in undergrad, FOCUS ON YOUR GPA!!!!! take classes the summer after you graduate even if you don’t need them to graduate.

LSAT 164 GPA 3.19 2021–22 cycle

Admitted to Texas A&M University

Just give it your all; don’t hold yourself back. Would you rather wonder about the “what ifs” or know that you did everything you could? Once it’s said and done, just take a deep breath and trust the process… It’s out of your control now. Best of luck!

LSAT 162 GPA 4.11 2025–26 cycle

Attending Arizona State University

Don’t spend every second of you day on LSD or reddit, I regret making this mistake. Decisions will come when they come, and literally nothing you can do to change that.
