…lost. Now on to business: Background: I decided to apply KJD for a number of personal reasons, but I want to emphasize the fact that this was *a calculated risk *and that I was prepared to reapply should I have not gotten the results I wanted. Quite frankly, I believe the KJD disadvantage will only grow in the years…

Admitted to Arizona State University…and injured hand). We will see if applying late and being KJD gets me shut out of the t14 or not. I’ll also provide some additional context to my application to make it a bit more informative: Took the LSAT as a Freshman for some reason, got very lucky and did not have to retake. Graduating a year early (Super KJD).…
LSAT: give yourself way more time than you think you need! if you’re KJD, taking it during school really blows so (from my experience), plan to take/retake over summer. also, don’t be too hard on yourself! like most of us I’m insanely type-a and a perfectionist and not hitting that 17x killed me but we will all end…
…but i was more than happy with a 170 and wanted to apply KJD so decided to roll with it. GPA: went from 3.98 to 4.0 halfway through my cycle thanks to fall semester grades. communication-esque B.A. at a relatively prestigious public university with a minor in english lit. total of 3 ‘withdraw’ grades over 4 years of…
…to me so that’s what I prioritized. PRE-CYCLE NOTES (Super KJD) I entered undergrad with most of my first-year gen-eds fulfilled by AP credit. (LSAT) I took the LSAT three times: 158 –> 163 –> 162 I probably should have canceled the third test since I was happy with my second score, but I had already paid for it, so…
…topics and I don’t think I should have done that. For KJD+1s - I did medical scribing for my gap year and while I think it was good interview fodder, I actually wish I would have taken my job hunt more seriously senior year and gotten a super cool job that I was proud to incorporate into my resume/essays. I…
Hard work and a cohesive narrative help a lot. I spent approximately 1 year (mixed levels of intensity) studying for the LSAT and went from 152 to 171. I’m a KJD, but I’ve had several unusual internships. I’m also an engineering major in a genuinely unique program. Experiences in this program have shaped my…
N-KJD (2 yrs WE), N-URM minority, low-income HYPSM undergrad
…not sure how sympathetic schools were to my story. I’m a KJD so this only happened 2 years prior to me sending my applications. It can be hard to show significant growth in that time, so I would’ve benefitted from a few years of distance from my GPA. Also, I went to a top 20 undergrad known for grade inflation (over…
…(second-generation); went to top public university; super KJD (dual enrolled through high school, graduating two years early). Wrote diversity statement on being second-generation immigrant, first-generation college, POC, and low-income (I believe the diversity statement touched on all of these subjects).
attractiveness is a solid 7 never applied before; KJD applicant. I’ll write an extensive report, full of my neurotic law school research, after i’m done. Statuses not Shown: UR3 @ Penn (~mid Jan) UR3 @ Chicago (Feb 13) UR3 @ Duke (Mar 5)
I graduated UG in 2019 and went straight into a 2 year MA program (2019-2021; 3.77 GPA) so I guess that would technically make me a KJD
Engineering major. Technically KJD with >1 year full-time internship experience. First-gen status. No special essays for any school application. Only PS and DS.
Moral of the story is shoot your shot. I am super KJD (graduated at 19) and I’m not sure if that had any affect on my decisions. I don’t think it did so ¯(ツ)/¯

I took a year off for R&R, so no real work experience but not kjd either. If you need more time to think about the ASU full scholarship, ask them for a month extension.
…defense firm for a little while, but I am still a “KJD” by most standards. I didn’t have involvement in any clubs or organizations; I got some scholarships in undergrad. That is basically it for softs. At the end of the day, this process is personal. You will be better off if you focus on your own priorities rather…
not technically kjd - im a year out of school but did not work during the year off
…the undergraduate school year, not in any organizations, KJD.
