A quick definition of Colorado:

Colorado: Colorado has laws that protect people from unwanted phone calls, emails, faxes, and texts. The Spam Reduction Act of 2008 makes it illegal to send certain spam emails. Telemarketers must register with the Colorado Attorney General and follow legal limits on their practices. Colorado also has a "Do Not Call" Registry system to stop unwanted telemarketing calls. The Charitable Solicitations Act of 1988 limits telephonic solicitations by charitable organizations. It is illegal to send unsolicited advertisements via fax machines. Using telephonic or electronic means to send obscene communications or harass/threaten another person is also a crime in Colorado.

A more thorough explanation:

Colorado has several laws and regulations in place to prevent unwanted solicitation and spamming through various forms of communication.

Colorado's Spam Reduction Act of 2008 prohibits sending certain spam emails and considers it a deceptive trade practice. This law is found in Colorado Revised Statutes Title 6, Article 1, Part 7 (§ 6-1-702.5).

For example, if someone sends unsolicited emails advertising a product or service, they could be violating this law.

Colorado's Prevention of Telemarketing Fraud Act of 1993 requires telemarketers to register with the Colorado Attorney General and places legal limits on telemarketing practices. This law is found in Colorado Revised Statutes Title 6, Article 1, Part 3 (§§ 6-1-301 - 6-1-305).

Additionally, Colorado has a "Do Not Call" Registry system in place since 2001 through the Colorado No-Call List Act, which prohibits telemarketers from calling registered phone numbers. This law is found in Colorado Revised Statutes Title 6, Article 1, Part 9 (§§ 6-1-901 - 6-1-908).

For example, if a telemarketer calls a phone number on the "Do Not Call" list, they could be violating this law.

Colorado has made it a deceptive trade practice to send unsolicited advertisements via fax machines. This law is found in Colorado Revised Statutes Title 6, Article 1, Part 7 (§ 6-1-702).

For example, if someone sends an unsolicited fax advertising a product or service, they could be violating this law.

Colorado defines "deceptive trade practices" prohibited by the Consumer Protection Act to include violations of the prohibitions against spam emails and faxes and unlawful telemarketing. This law is found in Colorado Revised Statutes Title 6, Article 1, Part 1 (§§ 6-1-105(cc) and 6-1-105(ww)).

For example, if a company engages in deceptive practices to sell a product or service through spam emails or unlawful telemarketing, they could be violating this law.

Colorado has made it a crime to use telephonic or electronic means to send "obscene" communications. This law is found in Colorado Revised Statutes Title 18, Article 9, Part 1 (§ 18-9-111).

For example, if someone sends sexually explicit messages or images to another person without their consent, they could be violating this law.

Colorado has made it a crime to use telephonic or electronic means to harass or threaten another person. This law is found in Colorado Revised Statutes Title 18, Article 9, Part 1 (§ 18-9-111).

For example, if someone uses social media or email to threaten or harass another person, they could be violating this law.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
