Simple English definitions for legal terms

inadmissible

Read a random definition: disponee

A quick definition of inadmissible:

Term: Inadmissible

Definition: Inadmissible means something or someone is not allowed or worthy of being let in. This can apply to evidence that is not allowed in court, foreign people who are not allowed to enter a country, or people who are not allowed to enter the United States because of certain reasons like having a criminal record or a communicable disease.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Inadmissible is an adjective used to describe something or someone that is not allowed or worthy of being admitted.

In legal contexts, inadmissible refers to evidence that is not allowed in court. For example, if someone tries to present evidence that was obtained illegally, it would be considered inadmissible. In immigration law, inadmissible refers to foreign individuals who are not allowed to enter a country. This could be because they have a criminal record, a history of violating immigration laws, or a communicable disease.

Examples:

  • A witness tried to present evidence that was obtained illegally, but the judge ruled it inadmissible.
  • The immigration officer denied the visa application because the applicant had a criminal record and was therefore inadmissible.

These examples illustrate the definition of inadmissible by showing situations where something or someone is not allowed or accepted. In the first example, the evidence is not allowed in court because it was obtained illegally. In the second example, the individual is not allowed to enter the country because of their criminal record. Both situations demonstrate the concept of inadmissibility.

I mean, idk how it's possible to end birth right citizenship without amending the constitution because to me the 14th amendment is pretty clear about it.
ross ulbricht tried to hire a hitman to kill 5 people
i am not that sympathetic to him

@KnowledgeableRitzyWasp: That might have been an FBI agent. It was most likely him and he was most likely doing it to retrieve stolen funds that corrupt FBI agents stole, but yeah moral gray area but me personally, cool with hitmen. It's not like it is uncommon to hire hitmen. I don't think the action itself is necessarily wrong but the intent behind it can be.

Like, Boeing whistblowers being killed by hitmen = wrong but a guy hiring hitmen to retrieve stolen funds = good to me.

@Dkk: Yeah, for sure. My guess is it'll go to SCOTUS and it'll be 8-1 or 7-2, saying that EO was unconstitutional.
