preventive justice

Read a random definition: physical force

A quick definition of preventive justice:

Preventive justice is when actions are taken to stop bad behavior from happening in the future. This can include things like appointing someone to oversee a situation, issuing a restraining order, or making someone promise to behave well. It's like stopping a problem before it even starts.

A more thorough explanation:

Preventive justice is a type of justice that aims to prevent future misbehavior. It involves taking action before a crime is committed to protect against it. For example, a court may appoint a receiver or administrator, issue a restraining order or injunction, or bind someone over to keep the peace.

One example of preventive justice is when a court issues a restraining order against someone who has threatened to harm another person. By doing so, the court is taking action to prevent the person from committing a violent act.

Another example is when someone is bound over to keep the peace. This means that they are required to behave in a certain way to prevent future conflicts or disturbances.

Preventive justice is important because it can help to protect people from harm before it occurs. By taking action to prevent future misbehavior, the justice system can help to create a safer and more secure society.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)
