Do note that I have estimated certain scholarship figures when not awarded as a numerical sum. In cases of a “full tuition” or proportional scholarship, I assumed a 5% increase in all costs per year. You may have noticed that I received a particularly high number of CAS report fee waivers. This was in part due to my…

…and speak to my interest/why law. When it comes to scholarships, know your worth and do not be afraid to ask a school for more money. It is in their best interest to have great candidates attend, graduate, and be successful attorneys. If you want it, be respectful, have back-ups and support for your asks and go for…
…from Elon University. They gave me $30,000 non-conditional scholarship that is spread out over the 7 trimesters. Essentially lowering my cost to roughly 100K over the 2.5 years. I am still waiting to receive an acceptance from Campbell and see what scholarship is given. Hopefully, I can negotiate and see if that…

…and University of Utah. As you can see from the scholarships I received, cost was a large factor. I didn’t need a school that could get me into big law, I only needed a school that would give me a good legal education packed with public interest experience. I saw Gonzaga for this, its low cost of living,…

Update 4/11/24: Final choice was Villanova! After not getting any offers from the T14, (which, in retrospect, I might not have wanted without a decent scholarship, so thank god the 2 ED’s ended up being waitlists) it essentially came down to what city I could see myself living in. Fordham would have been fine with…
I applied so broadly because I wanted to try and negotiate scholarships. Unfortunately the only scholarship I was able to negotiate at all was at GULC. Looking back, I would have just blanketed the T20 + ND and ignored the rest, but I am nonetheless thankful for a successful cycle. GO BLUE!
I think that a solid scholarship from a lower ranked school is better than less/no scholarship from a high ranked school!
…Davis after the rest of my apps and they gave me a great scholarship (plus I will be able to get residency through AB 540) so the money difference was what made my choice for me. Davis is a good school as well, obviously, and the people in the administration have been amazing thus far, tied with Lewis and Clark as…

Admitted to Seton Hall (amongst others, but SH was the best) with a 157 with a conditional $45k scholarship. Retook June LSAT, got a 164, was given a $105k non-conditional scholarship within 36 hours of getting my score. Looking at graduating from a rock-solid T2 school with like $90k in debt. Life is good. Work…
…east coast but have lived in Cali since 2020. Conditional scholarships are a bad deal but look at the numbers in terms of who lose them each year if you have to take one. Howards scholarships usually are conditional on being in the top 50% of your class. Hopefully they drop this stipulation in the future. Please do…
…Sacramento, so I decided to go to the school with less scholarship $$ simply because with the better job prospects we’ll be able to make up the difference on our own with minimal debt. Many students are not married and don’t have another’s income to consider in their decision, so the money doesn’t matter as much in…

making my profile public to help anyone who has the same stats at me! i stopped recording scholarship amounts after i got my award to the school i will be committing to. i didn’t remain on any waitlists. best advice is to NOT apply to as many safety schools as me; it was a waste of time and money and provided no…
