As an older candidate, prestige is not the most important factor to consider when choosing a law school. Enjoying your life as you live it should be a much higher factor in your decision. Don’t hate your life now so you can “enjoy” it in more the future.

Admitted to New England Law | BostonApplying Truly, apply anywhere you want to go (finances willing). You don’t want to leave any stone unturned- If you can, try to have a least two safetys Nothing is guaranteed in this process. Most schools do not admit in a predictable pattern or timeline and even if they do, you can always be surprised. When I…
A few pieces of additional information Took the LSAT once.- While I don’t wish to go into detail about my undergrad, I have 5 undergrad institutions I have on my transcript—some 240 semester units. I have significant course study in Civil Engineering, Math, Psychology, History, Fine Art Photography, and Business…
Study as much as possible for the LSAT, and in detail. track the answers you are getting wrong and also the ones you are getting right and make sure you understand why they’re correct/incorrect Apply for/email schools for fee waivers! This process is extremely expensive and as a 1st gen law student + someone without…

Do your best and work hard!!! From my experience while working in big law at a top 100 firm that deals with Bankruptcy, tax, international contracts and real estate from what new associates and seasoned attorneys have told me; the school you attend nowadays does not matter as much as it did 10 years ago. It is your…
*** Off the UNH Waitlist, my top pick! I sent one formal LOCI, a handful of informal ones, two additional letters of recommendation, and increased my LSAT from 152 to 161 - all after being placed on the waitlist in January. *** R&R, previous year’s results are under ‘mayungiles’. Reapplying because the Army offered…
Put God first! Love God & love people.
LSD is full of people who worked really hard and did significantly above average, yet are still complaining about their 170 score. You don’t need a T20 to be a good attorney. Work hard and hope for the best.

Dream big! You never know what a law school might be looking for!
Applied w/ a 3.76. Went up to a 3.84 mid cycle. Cardozo twice (completely unprompted) increased scholarship 2X. Was initially offered 35,000 a year in my acceptance. In mid March, I was informed it had been increased to 40,000 a year, and then finally 2 weeks later I recieved another email telling me I was being…
Starting to study in June for Aug, Oct, or Nov tests in preparation of attending 1L the following year will be really tough. Everyone says start early and give yourself plenty of time and it’s really the truth! 7Sage, BluePrint, and LSAT done right (tutoring) was the best for me. I wish I had started using the LSAT…

In college, I triple majored in Political Science with a concentration in International Affairs, French, and International Studies. I also was the President of College Democrats, VP of my sorority, and Social Chair for our Pre-Law society. I…
I am a human Leatherman multi-tool: I can do a lot of things, yet I have mastered none. Law school to me is like jail- a situation where I will have no choice but to focus on one thing for 3 years. Please, do not fall into the trap that is the woman in the red dress/ shiny object syndrome, just because something is…
just do your best and be yourself. apply to some safeties just in case but also shoot for the stars, you never know! you got this :) I got waitlisted at places I thought I’d get rejected from, and even that is exciting :) I actually ended up getting off the waitlist just after deposit deadlines at my top choice! I…
I applied to a lot of reach schools because I just wanted to go somewhere with great employment options, so I shot my shots. My GPA from undergrad was a 3.5, but because of one bad semester and a bad 2 years at community college due to multiple traumas I experienced, my GPA fell down to a 2.8. I wrote an addendum…
You can do it! Schools want students who will enrich their classroom environment. Sell your story. Show them how much they need you. LORs and ECs can make up for lackluster academic performance, although it will not make up the difference for the top-ranked schools. That being said, every school has more applicants…
