Military people should use Service To School, however, be mindful of who is helping you and the limits of their knowledge. Use websites like Law…
…evening program George Washington: Received a pretty low scholarship offer; Tried to negotiate unsuccessfully; Decided this wasn’t worth the extra money over GMU for my goals George Mason: Initially received an offer of $63K (in-state); Negotiated successfully to $66K (in-state), basically a full-ride minus a few…
…some good WL though!). Attending UF Law with a full scholarship, and honestly what can you say that’s negative about that. I will be a lawyer from a T1 law school with zero debt. Not bad let’s be honest. Wishing you all the best of luck!
I am location locked to North Texas, so it was a difficult admissions year. Finally got accepted to OU which is further than I liked, but GI Bill plus a merit scholarship made it an easy decision. Even with a terrible GPA like mine, law school is achievable. I would have had a lot more options if I could move…
Submit your apps early. Make sure to start scholarship negotiations as soon as you can as well!
Keep an open mind about where you are willing to go to law school, scholarships are more than worth it
Negotiate your scholarships!!!! The worst they can say is no. With the exception of Northwestern (because they said they weren’t going to negotiate with anyone this year), I got more money everywhere I asked.
Brutal cycle. Did not perform even close to how I expected based off of previous years’ data (admissions & scholarship offers). LSAT medians are certainly rising. Oh, well; hopefully you all have better luck.
…are drawbacks to waiting. There are obvious things like scholarship deadlines to consider, but there are other factors that you likely aren’t yet considering like housing applications that you will want to submit early to ensure you have the best possible living situation for your 1L year. In my case, I wanted to…
…they won’t, but they totally did. Also apply to outside scholarships! Another benefit to applying to early is I was just twiddling my thumbs from Nov-April, nothing to do but wait. Some hobbies I suggest: pick a random NFL team to follow, kiss some strangers, learn Spanish, make ravioli, write shitty poetry, etc.…
Apply early and write the supplemental essays; even though they’re tedious, they’ll help you have a better chance of acceptance and scholarships.

…I committed to IU Maurer. Honestly, the full tuition scholarship helped my decision immensely and I am so grateful for the opportunity to attend law school with finances not being a major barrier. I hope my cycle gives hope to those who have lower stats, but strong app materials. YOU MATTER.

…applied, and now I’m attending a T-40 law school with scholarship! Specific advice below: Max out on your LSAT score as much as you can. Due to time, I went ahead and applied as I wanted to get into school, but I was PTing higher than 166 regularly. In another world, I would keep studying and retake to reflect my PT…
LSAT 169 GPA 3.26 2024–25 cycle
Apply early! I applied late and ended up really stressed around deposit deadlines when I was still waiting for decisions and merit scholarship announcements. Also, future immigration lawyers, nobody in the asylum/removal defense world cares what law school you go to. Go where you can afford to go!
I will fill this out later. If you aren’t going for scholarships, which my top schools didn’t offer, wait to submit until you’re ready. I applied to three schools and tried to make my applications (especially my top two choices H and Y) as strong as possible. My SLS was a bit rushed to apply to KHS and I had a much…
