Take a deep breath, get yourself a cinnamon roll, and watch the office <3 ““You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” -Wayne Gretzky” -Michael Scott I panic applied to so many schools because I was unsure how my cycle would turn out as a reverse splitter. My cycle is proof that the LSAT isn’t everything! My…

I got in because I had absolutely amazing LOR’s from nationally known advocacy groups. These were people I worked with and who know me extremely well– not just people who know me in passing. I also had a solid history of legal writings, as in motions and docketed commentary on cases, to point to. I know people who…

LSAT wisdom: start studying before you think you need to start studying- don’t sign up to take a test until you’re ready signing up before you’re ready will not get you motivated to study more than you already are – so don’t do it learn the fundamentals and then drill, drill, drill be consistent, not perfect try to…
I WANT TO CRYYYY UGHHH
Prior to law school, after graduating undergrad, WORK AT A LAW FIRM. Get experience feeling the pressure and having the work you do highly scrutinized. I worked for a year at a small but fast-paced law firm where I had a hand in everything. Extremely stressful but it motivated me to want to learn more because A. it…
It was like pulling teeth to get Ohio State to look at my application. I knew it was a reach, but still. I emailed them, received a response a few days later that they would check with the admissions committee about my application, and I was rejected the next morning. Disappointed that I waited over three months for…
It’s been 5 years since I graduated college and I took the LSAT so it’s never too late.
Apply early and apply often - Don’t be like me and split applications. If you think you’re guaranteed in at any school, think again. Apply to that safety school when you’re putting in all your other apps even if you’re sure you’ll get in somewhere else - scholly negotiations can always benefit from bigger awards.
Just about anyone can get into law school if they put their mind to it. Setting a target LSAT score and sticking to a strict study regimen is what worked for me, even if this seems rather obvious and sounds redundant.
If your LSAT isn’t good, become a really good writer.
Stats aren’t everything. Tell your story!!!
Everything happens for a reason. Work hard and know you’ve done your best. Above all, have faith and trust the process, and let the chips fall where they may.
Apply earlier than I did.
Take your time, don’t rush the process. As hard and annoying as it is, see the process through. And yes, I’m on LSD and not attending a T-14. What about it?
If I can do it, so can you. I thought I wasnt going to get in anywhere with my stats. Still waiting on several more schools but super blessed.
If every time you check your status checker and see that it’s still under review, just know that’s another day you haven’t been rejected :)
